What is PNR:
A PNR is a number / reference given for a Passenger travelling in by the Railways/Airways. A PNR or Passenger Name Record is used to check PNR status or train PNR status of the ticket issued. The Indian railway PNR status is issued by the Railways as a reference to check PNR status of the ticket purchased by the passenger. The PNR status enquiry gives live results on the status of the ticket i.e. whether it is confirmed or WL or RAC.
How To Use PNR Status Search Tool:
Steps to use the PNR Status Search Tool:
- Login to https://www.irctc.co.in/, enter the user id and password to login.
- Click Booked History and enter password
- Select the ticket from the list and click Get PNR status to retrieve the Get Status to retrieve the irctc PNR status
OR
- Login to http://www.indianrail.gov.in/PNR_stat.html , which is the PNR status enquiry site to check the PNR status of your ticket, and enter the train PNR number in the boxes provided.
- Click Get Status to retrieve the Indian railway PNR status or train PNR status
